Atheism

I am a proud atheist and I not only do not believe in God but I pretty much depise religon in general because it seems that no matter what, the so -called christians try to push their beliefs on me and I really don't care but they keep doing it. I have lost friends because of this just because I don't want to listen to their fairy tales and fantasies about their so called savior. I am sick of it and I am proud to stand up and say Wake up, their is no god.
The atheism belief is based on the view that god does not exist. Atheism is not limited in spiritrul beliefs and practices allowing an atheist to practice any spiritually views. Some atheists have been know to practice Buddhism because Buddhists do not worship creator. A few religions including Judaism and Christianity have evolved and branched off into divisions such as Atheist Christianity and Humanistic Judiasm.
One of the most common atheist symbols is the Darwin fish...a christian fish symbol with legs.
Darwin day is Celebrated on February 10, 2008 an atheist event. The Seattle Atheist club host many speakers and events focused on Seattle. American Atheists hosts a Winter Solstice Gala in December.
A famous atheist, Socrates was one of the first people on record to be accused of not practicing religion with the belief of a god.
The philosopher Rene Descartes has devoted research and thought to his belief on atheism. Descartes thought on Atheism are centered around God and he believes that one must acknoweledge the existence of God.
